We aim to be a very inclusive group which means that most of our events are open to non-members. However, non-members are required to pay a small fee to take part in events which of course are free to our members.
We also try to make our archaeology fun so apart from our series of archaeological activities, walks, talks, trips and tours we also host at least two social events one in summer and one in winter for both members and their guests.
We like to think that the range of activities provided will mean that there will be something of interest for all of our members.
Whereas, we take our archaeology seriously we certainly don't take ourselves seriously as the amount of banter that accompanies any activity will testify!
We think the above approach is proving to be successful as we have seen our membership grow every year from half a dozen founding members in 2011 to now around 100 paid up members and many more on our ever growing mailing list.
So, we welcome you to come along, try our activities, meet our members and see if archaeology is what you dig!!!
If you want to find out about our events, join our mailing list by contacting John Baker or Dorne Coggins (see the Contacts list).
