Archaeology in the Community
We are a group of enthusiastic amateurs whose aim is to promote archaeology and local history within the community and to provide opportunities for our members to enjoy a wide range of archaeological activities. This includes guided walks, talks, trips, digs and research projects. We provide opportunities for practical experience in field walking, geo-physical surveys and excavation techniques along with social activities.

Members are kept informed about what is happening locally by our networking with other heritage groups, South Yorkshire Archaeology Service and by maintaining strong links with local professional archaeologists.
